Toni Nadal believes that Rafael Nadal can win Wimbledon. The 32-year-old has not reached the quarter-finals at The Championships since 2011, but Toni, when asked whether if his nephew had chances to win Wimbledon again, replied: 'I think so. I had said it last year as well, when he was playing so well. Then (Gilles) Muller played better than him. But he can win it again.'
What about equalling or overcoming Roger Federer's 20 Grand Slam titles record? 'I want to think that it's possible but I know inside me that in a month, Federer wins Wimbledon again and I don't know.'
Speaking again about Rafael's success in Paris, Toni added: 'It's unbelievable to win here for the 11th time. I remember that when (Bjorn) Borg won six times, I believed that Rafael would have got to six, and maybe seven, maybe eight times but 11. It's not easy to win here and he always had great respect for the opponent. For Rafael, it's always important to win here, he is the best in the world on clay. He had played great at Monte Carlo, very well in Barcelona and instead he had not played well in Madrid against (Dominic) Thiem. Then he came back at a high level in Rome and here.'
