Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic's US Open outfits have been revealed. The Spaniard, who seeks his fourth title there, will wear a orange t-shirt and orange/white shorts during the day session.
At night, black shorts and t-shirt, the Nike logo will be orange coloured. Nadal is the defending champion and he triumphed here in 2010, 2013 and 2017. This year so far he played just one hard-court tournament, the Australian Open in January losing to the Croatian Marin Cilic in the quarter-finals.
Djokovic will wear a total blue outfit both for t-shirt (that stands out for some differences), shorts and shoes. The Serb already won here in 2011 and 2015, last year he didn't play due to an elbow injury while in 2016 he lost to the Swiss Stan Wawrinka in the championship clash.
Speaking about his ambitions in New York, Djokovic, during a Wimbledon post-match press conference, said: 'US Open, I mean, alongside Wimbledon, Roland Garros, Australian Open, historically the four biggest events we have in sports.
I think it's great to see, especially in the last 15 years, all the big players committed to play all the slams. I think Rafa, Roger, myself, Andy, big players, they really didn't miss more than one or two slams in the last 10, 15 years.
That's great. It always adds to the value of the tournament, to the anticipation. I had some wonderful moments there. I think I've lost the most finals on that tournament in my career than any other, comparing the finals that I've won.
But I've won also two titles.'
