Rafael Nadal named honorary member of a tennis club in Spain

The tennis club named "Real Sociedad de Tenis de La Magdalena" named the tennis player Rafael Nadal as a honorary member, as a proof of "gratitude and recognition to one of our best sportsmen of all time."

Fernando Cortines González de Riancho, the Real Sociedad de Tenis de La Magdalena president, placed the medal in honor of Nadal in the world No. 2's museum in Mallorca, recognizing him as the club'z honorary member.

Cortines described Nadal as the best sportsman ever in Spain history and one of the best world tennis players ever. "This important act wants to be a proof of gratitude and recognition", said Cortines. "Nadal, for all the club members, is an amazing ambassador of our main sport, tennis, and for our club, where we had the luck to enjoy his greatness both as a sportsman, as a person, in the several occasions where we could admire his game in our city."
