Speaking on Tennis Channel the former Roger Federer's coach Paul Annacone gave his picks for the upcoming French Open. The American believes that Rafael Nadal and Sloane Stephens will win the title. "I had a little tiny concern before Rome, but then beating Novak in the finals, I think Rafa is a guy who thrives on confidence, he loves to have wins, he understands the process but when you give him process plus wins on clay, tough for everybody else.
So I got to go with Rafa. Women's is a bit different, I am going to go with last year's finalist Sloane Stephens. She is happy, she is healthy, she is hitting the ball well, she Is comfortable, she has been here before got to the finals last year, this year she is gonna break", said Annacone.
"I do not have the same faith in Kiki Bertens. Simona Halep has a lot of pressure, I like her chances after that she has been in the final in the last two years and also won last year. It's tough to bet against Rafael Nadal here, maybe Novak Djokovic does it but you have got to like Rafa's chances with 11 titles."
Annacone was asked if Serena can win French Open: "!I like Lindsay's phylosophy. Normally I would say yes. My only concern is nine matches in the last five months, that's for me challenging but when you look at her draw, she really has a good draw. I am worried about her health. But when you have someone like Serena in the draw, you cannot pass over."
