Australian tennis star Nick Kyrgios says he knew Spain's Rafael Nadal was going to win it all at the French Open this year. Nadal, 33, continued his dominance on the clay courts of Roland Garros as he won a record 12th title French Open title.
For a second year in a row, the Spaniard beat rising Austrian star Dominic Thiem in the French Open final. The 33-year-old once again won it all at Roland Garros in style as he dropped a total of two sets in seven matches played at the tournament.
Belgian tennis ace David Goffin managed to win a set against Nadal in the third round before Thiem claimed one set against the Spaniard in the final respectively. Kyrgios, 24, skipped the French Open for a second year in a row.
"I knew Rafa was going to win before (the French Open started). I mean, everyone in this room knew Rafa was going to win," Kyrgios said at the Queen's Club, per Ricky Dimon. Meanwhile, Kyrgios is preparing to open his fifth consecutive Queen's campaign.
Last year's Queen's semifinalist Kyrgios has been drawn to meet in-form 's-Hertogenbosch champion Adrian Mannarino in the first round.
