I did not enjoy 2010 win vs Rafael Nadal as much as I had to - Garcia Lopez

Guillermo Garcia Lopez was asked in a chat to Punto de Break what titles were most special for him during his career. He said: "The first one is the most special because winning your first career-title is something you have been looking for since the beginning.

Many people have done an amazing career and have not won any title. Julien Benneteau had an impressive career, I faced him in the 2009 Kitzbuhel final, and he has not won any ATP title. Winning in that tournament made me feel have less pressure, approach the following finals without being like, I have to win it, otherwise I may not have any more chances.

Then also in Bangkok, where I beat Rafa Nadal in the semifinals who was No. 1 and was coming from his maiden US Open win. I played an excellent match, which is what I had to do to win. He did not take his chances, a lot of them.

But I could not relax because the following day I had to play the final. I defeated Nadal and I thought, I enjoyed very less." Asked what's most special between beating Agassi, Moyá, Murray and Wawrinka, Lopez replied: "The first win against a top 10 guy was in Australia.

I went through the qualies and I faced Carlos Moya. I think that match was special; it was the first time I beat a top ten, the first time I played on a big court in a Grand Slam and that I cracked the top 100. On January 2005 everything was accomplished, Moya was my idol, he wad world No. 5 back in the day and for me was one of the key figures for the Spanish tennis."
