A former Spanish king was spotted arriving to Rafael Nadal's wedding, while 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer was left out of the star-studded guest list. Nadal, 33, and 31-year-old Xisca Perello -- who had been together since 2005 -- tied the knot on Saturday.
A private ceremony was held at a castle in Mallorca. Reportedly, 350 guests were invited to the wedding. The guest list included Nadal's close team members, his Tour colleagues and celebrities from outside tennis. Juan Carlos I, who was the king of Spain from 1975 to 2014, was spotted arriving to La Fortaleza to attend the wedding.
Nadal's ex-coach Uncle Toni, his current coaches Carlos Moya and Francisco Roig, his physiotherapist Rafa Maymo, his doctor Angel Ruiz-Cotorro and his agent Carlos Costa were also believed to be in attendance. Nadal's Tour colleagues Fernando Verdasco, Marc Lopez and Fernando Verdasco also attended the wedding.
Federer, who has been one of Nadal's biggest rivals for the past decade and a half, didn't attend the ceremony at La Fortaleza. After picking up a quarterfinal exit at last week's Shanghai Masters, Federer is preparing to bounce back in Basel next week.
La Fortaleza, where the wedding took place, is described as Spain's most expensive property. Meanwhile, Xisca's dress was designed by Rosa Clara -- an internationally renowned wedding dress design firm.
