Rafael Nadal and his longtime girlfriend Maria Francisca Perello got married on Saturday in Sa Fortalesa near Mallorca, Spain, at 1:56 PM in front of 350 invitees including their family, the Spanish king Juan Carlos, the basketball star Pau Gasol and many more famous people.
Also Feliciano Lopez, with his wife Sandra Gago, attended the marriage. Gtres shared some photos, taken by paparazzi, of the wedding. Invitees could not take pictures featuring the 19-time Grand Slam winner and Maria together, and on social media nothing was shared.
Nadal and Maria live in Porto Cristo in a three million euros chalet that the Mallorcan brought back in 2013. They enjoyed a pre-wedding honeymoon in late September in The Bahamas after the Laver Cup where Nadal paired up with his longtime rival and friend Roger Federer, in Geneva, Switzerland.
Nadal will not have too much time now to enjoy rest as he will head back to practice on hard courts before competing at the Rolex Paris Masters, ATP Finals in London and Davis Cup Finals in Madrid. The 33-year-old dealt with a wrist injury in the last month but he is slowly recovering from it.
Nadal's wedding news was revealed by Hola Magazine in February earlier this year, and many people were surprised as the world No. 2 always said that he wanted to marry Maria only once his playing days were over. Will Nadal wait the end of his career before having children with his wife? We will see: Maria is 31 years old, Rafa is 33 and the Spanish champion has no plans to stop competing anytime soon.
