Dominic Thiem, not Rafael Nadal, will win 2020 French Open - Tim Henman

In an interview with BBC, the former world No. 4 Tim Henman said he thinks that Dominic Thiem will win his maiden Grand Slam title at the French Open next year. The Austrian player made some huge improvements this season also on hard courts and Henman thinks he will be even more confident on clay.

“I will go for Thiem after what we have seen this week. I can’t say Nadal. It is very easy to think that he will win for a 13th time there; I am going to go for the upset", said Henman after Thiem's ATP Finals championship clash loss to Stefanos Tsitsipas.

Francis Roig will be Spain's team ATP Cup captain in Australia from 3 to 12 January 2020, helping Rafael Nadal, Pablo Carreno Busta, Feliciano Lopez and Albert Ramos. Germany will be led by Boris Becker, Russia by Marat Safin, Chile by Marcelo Rios.

Meanwhile, Argentina's Davis Cup team captain Gaston Gaudio feels confident ahead of the new team competition: "You always think about the first tie. it's obviously something special to face Chile and we have to win in order to go through the group's stage.

The environment can be a special one. The courts fit pretty a lot to all the guys. We do not have stars like Rafael Nadal or Novak Djokovic but we have a quality team."
