Roger Federer:'Rafael Nadal may go down as the greatest player of all time'

Roger Federer spoke highly of Rafael Nadal. The Swiss said: "Good guy, great player, my God. Who would have thought that he was gonna be world No. 1 again this year after being world No. 1 for the first time, 11 years ago. All the people were saying that he was gonna be injured, that he was gonna not make it, that he was not gonna be healthy at one point, his game is too brutal, but he found a way and he has had another incredible season with two Grand Slam wins this year, he is at 19 Grand Slams, and I have really enjoyed the court as well with him at the Laver Cup twice, once in Prague, now in Switzerland in Geneva.

I learned a lot from him, he is a great champion, he is great for the game and I am happy that we had the matches and the battles that we had particularly at Wimbledon, French Open, even in Australia, we have had some massive matches and he is gonna go down as maybe the greatest player of all time", said Federer who is down 24-16 in the head to head meetings with the Spaniard.

Federer also spoke about his relationship with former world No. 3 David Nalbandian: "We played in the junior US Open together, Orange Bowl which was the World Championships in the juniors and I played him in the semis and then I played against Guillermo Coria in the final. I go way back with these guys and it was nice to share the court with them in the juniors but also in the pros."
