1. Rafael Nadal obtained his first title of the year at the Italian Open in Rome, where he defeated Novak Djokovic after a dominant 6/0, 4/6, 6/1.

Thus, Nadal bagged his ninth title at the Foro Italico.

Just a month after securing the Italian Open, Nadal showed once again that he is worthy of the moniker “King of clay” by conquering the French Open for the 12th time in his career.

3. By winning the final act against Daniil Medvedev in Montreal, Nadal pulled off the first hard court title defense in his wonderful journey in the ATP circuit.

Also, winning the Canadian Open marked Rafael’s 35th ATP Masters title.
