Movistar to Reward young tennis players at Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar

Movistar will grant 20 scholarships to students to support young talented Spanish players who want to train at the 'Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar' in the 2020-2021 academic year, the company announced on Friday. The scholarships will be 25% of the total amount of the annual and / or semiannual program and will take into account both tennis and academic merits.

The annual and semi-annual programs of the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar for young tennis players from 12 to 18 years old are based on the experience acquired by Rafa Nadal and his technical team after several years on the professional circuit.

The team of coaches, led by Toni Nadal , is responsible for training young players and preparing them for tennis of the future. The objective of the program is to maximize the potential of each player in a high performance center where young people can combine their tennis activity with excellence in studies at the Rafa Nadal International School, a bilingual education college with international teachers located in the facilities of the Academy.

After passing through the Rafa Nadal Academy by Movistar, players will have the option to continue their academic training by choosing to obtain scholarships in the best American and European universities. The Annual Program is taught from September to June and the Semiannual Program from September to January and from February to June.

Only those players who have a Spanish passport or who have domicile in Spain will be entitled to a scholarship in the annual or semi-annual program.
