Until July 31st there will be no tennis, as communicated by ATP, WTA and ITF, but in the meantime Nike showed the new outfit that Rafael Nadal should wear at Roland Garros 2020. The Parisian Slam edition should be played from 20 September to 4 October 2020, a week after the end of the US Open.
But everything is obviously still shrouded in uncertainty, as the Covid-19 global pandemic is still in the propagation stage. Despite the uncertain situation, in the meantime, they were shared the images of the first outfits of tennis players at the French Open.
Rafa will have a personalized outfit compared to that of other Nike athletes. The Spaniard will wear a light blue t-shirt, with slightly darker horizontal lines, very narrow and not very accentuated. The shorts will be matched with the same motif and the same ones, as well as the socks, always in a light blue hue.
The cuffs and hatchet will be fuchsia, a shade that Nadal has repeatedly worn in the past. Shoes should be pearl-colored. As for the outfits of the other athletes, the men will wear a white polo shirt with blue and red stripes (the colors of France) on the sleeves and on the collar.
The shorts will be blue with white and red vertical stripes. The other shirt will be a blue t-shit with white and red vertical narrow lines, in combination with shorts. The women will have a sleeveless blue dress with white and red diagonal stripes.
All this obviously depends on what will happen from today until September, when the tennis stars will have to play two Slams in 30 days. If Rafael Nadal manages to wear this outfit we will be sure that the protagonists will finally be back on the court, with tennis again at the center of the scene and the pandemic in decline.
