ATP RANKINGS: Rafael Nadal is 1000 points ahead of Roger Federer

With Australian Open just around the corner, the second week of the new season brought some changes outside the Top 10, with Novak Djokovic and Andy Murray dropping even more through the rankings. Rafael Nadal is still the world number 1, just over 1000 points clear of Roger Federer, and they both will seek another Grand Slam title in Melbourne and 2000 points. Grigor Dimitrov is third, miles behind Roger, missing to grab more points in Brisbane, and Alexander Zverev stayed 4th, 600 points clear of Dominic Thiem in 5th.

Nothing else changed in the Top 10 and Kevin Anderson progressed to 11th after reaching the final in Pune. Novak Djokovic fell to 14th and Nick Kyrgios is back inside the Top 20 after lifting the trophy in Brisbane. Andy Murray survived in the Top 20 for another week but only by just, and Doha finalist Andrey Rublev claimed 7 places to be 32nd.

Doha champion Gael Monfils is back inside the Top 40 and another player who lifted the trophy in the first week made the biggest improvement. Gilles Simon gained 32 positions to return to the Top 60 while Daniil Medvedev dropped for 19 positions, being the biggest loser in the Top 100. Top 20 list:
