Record nine-time Wimbledon champion Martina Navratilova isn't present at the special ceremony that is taking place at The All England Club after testing positive for COVID-19. Navratilova, a former 18-time Grand Slam champion, enjoyed the most success at Wimbledon, having won the tournament a record nine times.
On Sunday, a special ceremony regarding the 100th anniversary of the Centre Court is taking place. Federer, a record eight-time Wimbledon champion on the men's side, arrived to The All England Club for the special ceremony.
Navratilova was also planned to take part in the event but sadly she tested positive for COVID-19. "Martina Navratilova, the greatest Wimbledon singles champion in history, will sadly be absent from the parade of champions on Centre Court today after testing positive for Covid-19.
She is the latest high-profile figure to contract the virus this week," Stuart Fraser of The Times has reported.

Navratilova defended Wimbledon
After the ATP and WTA decided to strip away points from this year's Wimbledon, there was a fear top players might decide to skip the tournament.
Naomi Osaka, a four-time Grand Slam champion, became the first big name to reveal she was thinking of skipping Wimbledon after the removal of ranking points. When Navratilova was asked about Osaka's comments, Navratilova said she would like to speak with the Japanese and tell her about the Wimbledon history.
“It’s kind of nice if you can walk away from a potential £2m pay day. Most people don’t have the luxury," Navratilova said a month ago. “I just don’t understand her mentality. I would like to sit down and tell her about the history of Wimbledon.
It would not have even occurred to Osaka not to play if the ranking points hadn’t been taken away." Osaka did indeed skip Wimbledon but the official reason for her withdrawal was an Achilles injury, which has been hampering her for two months.
