Nick Kyrgios acknowledges greatness of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal & Novak Djokovic

Nick Kyrgios is now a Grand Slam finalist and he paid his respect to Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal ahead of the Wimbledon final. On Thursday, Nadal announced he was withdrawing from his Wimbledon semifinal, giving a free pass into the final to Kyrgios.

Even though Kyrgios didn't take on the court on Friday, he held a press conference. "We'll never see a competitor like Rafa again. You'll never see someone wield a racquet like Roger, so effortlessly. You'll never probably see anyone who just wins and just plays the game just so good as a winner than Djokovic.

I don't think anyone will fill those shoes," Kyrgios said, per Ravi Ubha.

Kyrgios on Nadal withdrawing

The Kyrgios and Nadal match was expected to be a pure showdown and tennis fans all over the world were left extremely disappointed after the Spaniard pulled out.

Kyrgios himself was extremely excited to play Nadal on the Centre Court at Wimbledon. "Honestly my first feeling was a bit of disappointment. My energy was so focused on playing him (Rafa) and tactically how I'm going to go out there and play, the emotions of walking out there, all that type of stuff.

Wimbledon," Kyrgios said. Also, Kyrgios revealed Djokovic messaged him earlier this week and told him he would like to see him on Sunday - meaning he would to play him in the Wimbledon final. "We do have kind of a bromance now.

Ever since I was the only player to stand for him at the Aus open drama, that's where I think respect is kind of earned, not at tennis courts but at the real life stuff. We actually DM each other on Instagram and stuff, it's kind of weird. He actually told me earlier in the week: 'Hope to see you sunday,'" Kyrgios said.
