Roger Federer will end his career in London this weekend. The Great Swiss will say farewell to tennis at O2 Arena, accompanied by fellow legends Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray. Roger is already in London, and he trained with Stefanos Tsitsipas on Monday night.

Bjorn Borg was there too, and they all had a great time on the court. Federer will try to play at least one match this weekend, struggling with a knee injury and still wishing to give it a go one more time. Roger has been dealing with a knee injury for almost three years, playing only six tournaments since the start of 2020.

The Swiss underwent three surgeries to take the pain away and extend his career, but he decided to finish his tennis journey after failing to train injury-free. Federer is one of the Laver Cup founders, and he led Team Europe toward the title in three out of four editions.

Roger played his first Laver Cup match against Sam Querrey in Prague five years ago. He lost six games against the American in a commanding victory and shared the court with his great rival Rafael Nadal for the first time later that day!

The world's leading players scored a 6-4, 1-6, 10-5 triumph over Jack Sock and Sam Querrey to send Team Europe 9-3 in front. The fabulous duo lost momentum in the second set and claimed only one game. Still, they were super motivated to win this historical encounter, charging through the match tie break to bring the victory home.

Roger prevailed over Nick Kyrgios in a thriller on the third day to confirm the victory for Team Europe and celebrate the inaugural crown with his teammates. Federer joined forces with Novak Djokovic in the second edition in Chicago 2018.

They lost to Kevin Anderson and Jack Sock in the match tie break before Federer outplayed Nick Kyrgios in singles a day later. The Swiss played two matches on day three and took down John Isner in a thriller to keep Team Europe alive before Alexander Zverev sealed the deal for them.

Roger scored two singles wins in front of the home fans in Geneva 2019, as Team Europe claimed the third consecutive title. Federer skipped the 2021 Laver Cup due to an injury, and his last match at this competition remains the victory over John Isner from three years ago. Roger has not played since the last year's Wimbledon, undergoing the third surgery and failing to make another return.
