Chris Evert confesses Roger Federer that he is the only one that makes her cry

Chris Evert sent Roger Federer a video message telling him that he is her favorite player and the only player that makes her cry when he loses. "Hi, Roger! It's Chrissie. I think I've dreaded doing this video for a long time because it means you are going to retire, but I just want you to know that I appreciate how nice you were to my boys in their early years when you always came out of the locker room to say hi to them.

I just want you to know, along with the beauty of your game, what impressed me the most was that you were such a great sport both on and off the court. Win or lose, you were just so gracious and a gentleman. You know you are my favorite player.

You always have been my favorite player, and you know you are the only player that I cry when you lose. So those two things are important to me. Anyway, good luck to you and be happy," Chris Evert says in the video.

Chris Evert somehow anticipated Roger Federer's retirement

Chris Evert wasn't fully sure Federer was going to make a comeback, as she suggested in an August 2022 interview.

"Roger Federer has four children and is enjoying life in Switzerland. He has started numerous projects off the pitch and looks really happy. The feeling is that it would take a titanic feat not to get back to number 1, but even just to get back to the Top 5.

It would be something incredible at his age. We don't know how training is going. We don't even know if he's as hungry as before or if he's satisfied with the life he's leading. We will only be able to deliver a verdict after seeing it in action.

As I have repeated a myriad of times, everyone withdraws when they want. Roger earned this right, just like Serena Williams," said Evert for ESPN.
