Christopher Eubanks, 27, paid tribute to Wimbledon icon Roger Federer after sealing the biggest win of his career at The Championships. Eubanks stunned 2022 Wimbledon semifinalist Cameron Norrie 6-3 3-6 6-2 7-6 (3) to reach a Grand Slam third round in his very first main draw appearance at The All England Club.

In the spring, Eubanks broke into the top-100 for the first time in his career. Since then, Eubanks achieved more milestones as last week he won his first ATP title in Mallorca before also achieving a career-high ranking of No 43 this past Monday.

Eubanks is having a breakthrough season and he remembered the great Federer after his big day at Wimbledon.

“I watched a lot of Federer growing up. He was the guy that to this day, I still go back and try to find his old matches and pick little things up.

He was a far better mover, a lot better at the net. Really just better at everything," Eubanks said. World No 13 Norrie just became the highest-ranked player that Eubanks defeated in his career. Not only that Eubanks recorded his highest-ever win in terms of rankings, but he also defeated a home favorite in front of British fans at Wimbledon.

For Eubanks, this will certainly go down as one of the most memorable days of his career. "By far the biggest win of my career. Not even a question. There's a tonne of really good tennis players who play professional tennis who never get the chance to play the number one Brit at Wimbledon in an atmosphere like this.

It didn't even matter how many people were for me or against me, this is something I will never forget the rest of my life," Eubanks said. Eubanks is having the season of his life and there is no doubt that he would love to make more noise at this year's Wimbledon.
