Roger Federer chills down fans expecting next-gen to be at Big Three level

Roger Federer called out fans having expectations from the next generation to rapidly raise their level to the one shown by the Big Three. "We have more all-court players nowadays. Not so much the traditional slow-court player and the fast-court player that we used to have.

I think it's important for the fans to be patient. Some expect all these guys to be right away at our level. When I was 19, I was inconsistent. All of the players just needed a little bit of time. I think the game always creates new champions and the game is in good hands.

The Wimbledon final was incredible, and the US Open is very close," said Federer.

Alcaraz copied the Big Three to win Wimbledon

Carlos Alcaraz's coach Juan Carlos Ferrero admitted that Alcaraz copied the Big Three to forge a Wimbledon-winning game.

"It's very difficult to explain, I think he learns things on the court very quickly, and we've also seen a lot of videos of players moving very fast here. So, we copied a bit from Andy Murray, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic.

In the end, it wasn't easy, but we did it," Ferrero explained. Furthermore, Alcaraz tries to outshine the Big Three. "I hope to win as many titles as the three won [the Big 3]! I don't know... Probably with half of what they got, I could be happy with it.

So imagine... I hope to be at the same level as them," Alcaraz told L'Equipe, as revealed by We Are Tennis.
