Roger Federer reveals he recently sent his twin boys to the Rafa Nadal Academy, while his twin daughters paid a visit to the John McEnroe Tennis Academy. Federer, 42, shares four kids with his wife Mirka as the couple became parents for the first time in 2009 when twin girls Charlene Riva and Myla Rose were born.

5 years later, Federer and Mirka became parents again when twin brothers Leo and Lenny were born. "All four kids love it. The girls didn’t love it in the beginning but as they get better, they’re enjoying it and playing points now.

They were up at [John] McEnroe Academy in East Hampton, and the boys were in Mallorca at the [Rafael Nadal] camp for a couple of days;" Federer told the Wall Street Journal.

Federer teaching his kids tennis

Since last year's September, Federer has been officially retired from pro tennis.

Nowadays, Federer is living a more-relaxed life and he is also using his time to give tennis lessons to his kids. "When I have time—and I try to make the time—I go on the court with them and try to teach them (kids) a little bit.

It’s obviously an interesting dynamic, because I’m the dad, and not a former player. It is what it is [laughing]," Federer said. In recent years, Federer has been spending lots of time at home and that has given him a chance to spend more time with his family than ever before.

For the remainder of this year, the Federer family has a few planned vacation trips. "I love to plan vacations. Having something to look forward to is important. We’re going to Japan for two weeks this year, we’re going to the Maldives, and I am so excited for that," Federer said. It remains to be seen if one day one of Federer's kids will become a pro tennis player.
