"I'm not good at acting, but I'm always authentic, I'm always myself. My career has been a long and incredible journey and after I retired I thought I would suffer a lot more but in the end it was all a beautiful party. The speeches by Mirka and Rafa touched me, the first five minutes made a mark on me and don't miss the initial part of the film. Mirka and I saw the film at the premiere with the directors and we cried a lot, it was incredible to relive those emotions that moment you accept the fact that your career is truly over."

These were the touching words granted by Roger Federer to the Gazzetta dello Sport, in the interview in which I talk - among various topics - about the Prime Video documentary Twelve Final Days, released today in streaming on the Amazon platform.

"It's really the last 12 days, also because I wasn't ready to shoot a film about my career and my adventure in tennis. The documentary shows how much vulnerability and suffering there is in the career of an athlete. Everything the directors shot it was intended for my family and my staff but later we realized that the images were very beautiful and we couldn't keep them just for us. I'm proud to share all this with my fans and I think many will be happy," explained Roger.

To publicize the release of the Prime Video series on the last 12 days of Roger Federer's career, videos in which adult Roger and child Roger play against each other were projected on the two towers of the bridge on London Tower Bridge. In the center of the bridge, Federer's face with the announcement of the imminent release of the Amazon series for a few hours. We recall Federer played his last match at the Laver Cup 2022, just in London, at the O2 Arena.
