World number two Roger Federer has said that he feels his game and fitness are at the right level and he has done good preparation for the clay court season this time after training due to tight training routine during the last few weeks.
As his three biggest rivals, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal and Andy Murray were battling for the Miami Open title, the Swiss Maestro was taking break from the Tour and preparing for the clay court season. The 17-time Grand Slam winner has reached Monte Carlo in his bid to win his first title here.
He said during the pre-tournament press conference, “I am feeling good about my game and my fitness. It has been good to work on that for the last few weeks. I came here early on Thursday to practice on Centre Court, which is something I have not always had the chance to do.
