Bjorn Borg is never banal when it's time to speak about tennis legends. The former Swedish player praised the great moment this sport is living with the Fab Four in activity, but also added that he felt Roger Federer's retirement could be very near.
Last year, in June, Borg had said that the Swiss would be retiring this year, but now has postponed Roger's retirement to 2017. However, these words could only be speculation as Federer has a two-year contract with the ATP Stuttgart Open that will end in 2017.
Also, he is helping Nike design his outfit for the 2018 US Open. 'Federer is 34 and what he’s done for tennis in unbelievable.
At this point, he is the greatest player of the game. I think he is going to be ready for Wimbledon. It's still one of his goals to pass Sampras's Wimbledon titles. This year his biggest goal will be to win the gold medal at Rio, but he can win Wimbledon.
It will be very interesting to see if Roger will play next year as well, this is my biggest fear,' said Borg to CNN. Finally speaking about Novak Djokovic, Borg said that he had a chance both to pass Federer's achievements and to complete the calendar Grand Slam this year, even though it was almost impossible to do it.
