Hopman Cup Tournament Director: 'I'd love to have Roger Federer back'

Last week Roger Federer came back at the Hopman Cup for the first time since 2002 thanks to a big payment by the event but that was worth as the record of total attendance was beaten (105,000 people went to the Perth Arena in the seven days of the event).

The tournament director Paul Kilderry confessed he is open to negotiate with Roger also for the 2018 edition: 'I’d love to have him back, no doubt about it. We haven’t discussed it at all. I will wait for the dust to settle a little bit.' Kilderry was excited to have Federer this year: 'Getting Roger here was a big commitment but he made every post a winner in his time here.

His demeanour, the way he carried himself, the way he played was outstanding and it’s no surprise that his legacy is so great.' Hopman Cup will be played at the Perth Arena through 2022. ALSO READ: Roger Federer: 'It's not easy to be successful and stay humble'
