On his last day, on the Alps in Switzerland before travelling to Prague for a Laver Cup promotional event with Tomas Berdych and then to Dubai to play the ATP 500 event, Roger Federer met Bear Grylls, the British adventurer, writer and television presenter.
On Instagram, Grylls praised Federer. 'What a fun NBC Running Wild journey with the legend that is Mr Roger Federer! Finished: Safe, cold, but proud! A humble, fun, determined, family centred man. Just slightly upset that he beat me at mini ping-pong on the top of the cliff face,' wrote Grylls, who was there obviously for working with his TV.
They also managed to play tennis: 'How to get a rope up and around a tree on a cliff!? Sometimes in the wild you have to improvise! Thankfully Roger is one hell of a good shot.'
