Boris Becker: 'Roger Federer can be World No. 1 at the end of this year'

Now that he is not Novak Djokovic's coach anymore, for Boris Becker there is more space to praise Roger Federer rather than speaking about potential friction between the Swiss and the Serb player, who apparently would not be as friends as it looks according to what Becker said a while ago.

Speaking about Federer's amazing 2017 season so far Becker commented: 'Having played at a such High level in the last three months allows him to have big hopes and to set the Year-End No. 1 as realistic goal. I think he was surprised more than anyone after not playing for half a year.

He is an over 30 man and people didn't expect such great performances.' About Novak Djokovic, who reached only one final this year in Doha winning the title, Becker said, 'He's a too big of a champion and too strong of a player not to discover what made him strong.

He had a difficult start, but the year is long.' ALSO READ: A 99-year-old woman to attend 'Match for Africa 3' between Federer and Murray
