Exactly a year ago, in 2016, Roger Federer visited Rafael Nadal's academy in Mallorca to inaugurate it. Through Facebook, the Swiss sent a video message to his rival and friend. 'I just want to congratulate all the Rafa Nadal Academy on the one year anniversary, and all your team and family.
I know they worked incredibly hard to make this possible. I am happy that I was there, to visit Rafa in person and open the academy. I don't think Rafa or myself, we thought we were going to have the year that we had, but maybe it all started at the Rafa Nadal Academy.
So I have to get an invitation soon again, so I can get here again and get inspired.' Nadal said: 'Hi Roger, thank you very much for your message. It has been a great year for the academy, and for sure your help was important.
I know I can't thank you enough, but it was important for all my team, family, for all who work unbelievably hard here and for me personally, to have you in person. The invitation is always open for you, this is your house.
For your kids, your family. The only thing that cannot happen again is that after coming here you play that well again,' Nadal said. 'If that's going to happen, I don't invite you. Just a joke. See you soon.' ALSO READ: Rusedski: 'Winning London, Federer would've won more bigger titles in '17'
