Alexander Zverev will be Roger Federer's main rival on paper at the Gerry Weber Open in Halle. The German player is the second-highest ranked player in the entry list of the German event and is looking forward to competing before his country crowd.
'The competition is really strong this year. But I obviously can win the title,' said Zverev. The 21-year-old reached the 2016 final losing to Florian Mayer, while in 2017 he lost to Federer in the final, too.
This year he will definitely be willing to try to take his revenge against the Swiss, who has already won this event nine times. Zverev will make his fourth appearance in a row in Halle, where he first played in 2015. Federer leads 3-2 in the head to head meetings against the German.
