Elias Ymer is just 22 years old, but he already met some tennis legends in person. Interviewed by SportsKlub, the Swedish player mostly spoke about his memorable training sessions with a well-known Swiss player. ´I had already trained with Novak (Djokovic) in Miami when I was 16 years old, but my biggest experience was one week in Switzerland invited by Roger Federer, when I was 19.
He is an unbelievable person, we spoke each other a lot, he told me that I never gave up and his key suggestion was to listen at my parents, I still remember how he said: "Listen, parents, they always want the best for you".
I almost always follow this advice.´ Ymer was born in Skara, Sweden, but his mother and father come from Ethiopia. ´I like to go to Ethiopia, my parents come from there, and I like that they always say, Elias, we pray you to have success in tennis, we are tired of running sports, we want something else"´, he said.
´If I improve and they can watch me on TV, it would be unbelievable. Everything is very relaxed there. Everyone goes to run before having breakfast. At 6:00 AM they play football, they are all friendly. I really felt home there, for ten days I didn´t use Internet and I didn´t even think about it; my head was clean, I wanted to stay there.
I will definitely come back.´ ALSO READ: Novak Djokovic: ´It´s a tragedy what Bautista Agut went through´
