Andre Agassi: 'I could not cope with Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, Djokovic'

In an interview to El Pais Andre Agassi shared a very interesting opinion on how he would do nowadays if he faced Novak Djokovic, Roger Federer or Rafael Nadal. Agassi thinks he would not be competitive enough.

'Did you see them hitting the ball fron the baseline? I could play this game for, let's say, ten minutes, then I would have to leave it. I wouldn't beat this group made up of Rafa Nadal, Roger Federer and Novak Djokovic in not even a million years.

My best shape of the past could not deal with their worst one now. I am okay with it, don't worry. You had days where I hated the sport with all my strengths, now I can see it, teach it and speak about it', Agassi said. I always thought that this inside empteness that I felt when I was playing would end on the day I would become number one, that everything would change.

Instead, it was much worse, because it came and I didn't feel anything. All my effort, refusing many things, to feel nothing. I remember it like if it were yesterday, because my lowest drop in life was when I came at the top.' 'My worst mistake in life? As professional, signing with Adidas.

At personal level leaving Nike (laughter). It was a big mistake that it took time to solve. I had to meet with Phil Knight (Nike Founder) again and I had spent enough time, but once I got back here it was like I felt home again.' 'I did not like my life but it doesn't mean that I could take the control over it again.

When you do just one thing for a long time and it ends, you end as well. At least at the beginning. My life ended and the challenge was to be back being myself. I don't know if I achieved it, but I am still trying to.' ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: 'Someone will replace me and Roger Federer'
