Roger Federer: 'I don't think my daughters know how good I am in tennis'

Roger Federer is a father of four children, and he cares a lot about his family. The Swiss player spoke about how his nine-year-old daughters Myla and Charlene react to his big popularity around the world. 'They kind of understand other people walk up and like, Hey picture please.

And you are like, "Sure". And the girls are like, "Quickly"! They kind of understand that. I don't think I have ever told them exactly why it is', Federer admitted. 'They know I am a tennis player, I don't think they know how good I am, once I told them what my ranking was and they were like, Okay.

I don't like to talk too much to them about it too much.' Federer also spoke about one of the people who inspired him the most in life: 'Nelson Mandela was massive, my mum being from South Africa, he has done everything for the country.

I would have loved to meet him but I have never done, unfortunately.' What's the first thing Federer has bought with his tennis earnings? 'More music I guess, CDs, PlayStation Games, sneakers.' His idol as a child: 'Stefan Edberg, he was unbelievably classy, loved this game, one of the best volleyers we have had in the game.

Sportsmanship was the number one thing for him, he very humble.' ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
