In an interview to Sky Sport Italy the former world No. 4 Greg Rusedski commented on the ATP Finals match between Roger Federer and Alexander Zverev. Rusedski said: 'I think it's a very interesting match. Federer has to be the favorite the courts suits to him because he has a good slice and makes the ball stay low.
But Zverev has nothing to lose, the expectations are all on Federer. I expect Federer to come through in three tight sets, he has a little X factor and all the crowd will be on his side.' Federer had started the tournament on a bad note losing to Kei Nishikori in the first round robin match on Sunday, then scored two straight sets wins over Dominic Thiem and Kevin Anderson.
'He was flat, he was tired', said Rusedski recalling the Swiss's loss to the Japanese. 'At the end of the season it's normal. He was not so motivated and wins come with victories. It changed his attitude, he found his game and it can inspire him to win the title.
Roger does not want to lose before the semifinal or final.' Rusedski added: 'Well I think the semi-finals are going to be absolutely brilliant. You have got the four guys you want and really want to see..I thought it was going to be Cilic this week, but he stuttered against Zverev.
With Zverev getting to his first semi-finals in London at the age of 21, is an amazing feat in itself. We got the other two we wanted - Federer and Djokovic. Anderson has been absolutely brilliant apart from that little stutter and he got a little nervous against Federer.
And Federer has showed why you can’t discount him. We’ve got an absolutely brilliant line-up for this weekend.' ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
