Roger Federer explains reasons behind his 2019 Australian Open outfit

Through a statement Roger Federer revealed the outfit he will wear at the upcoming Australian Open. Federer has chosen the blue as his mai colour, in attempt to win his Grand Slam title No. 21. 'Working closely with the UNIQLO product development team, we have created a highly refined match outfit that provides the functionality I need to play my best on the court while also making sure we pay careful attention to design and detail', said Federer.

'I’m looking forward to stepping on the court in Melbourne with the new designs.' John McEnroe will be part of the Eurosport TV commentary team at the upcoming Australian Open and he feels excited and happy to work in Melbourne again.

McEnroe believes it will be a great tournament with many players potentially going far. "I am really looking forward to working for Eurosport again this year", said McEnroe. "There are so many unanswered storylines for 2019.

Can the great Roger Federer continue his amazing run? Will we see Alex Zverev and the Next Gen stars step up this year? Will Novak Djokovic dominate once again? Does Rafael Nadal have a 12th French Open title in him? Will the incomparable Serena Williams claim an astonishing 24th Slam? 2019 is shaping up to be another great year, so I am really looking forward to being a part of bringing the very best of tennis to millions of tennis fans across Europe.

Eurosport is a great place to work and I am proud to continue my relationship with them." ALSO READ: Rafael Nadal: Worse players than David Ferrer won a Grand Slam title
