Rod Laver:'I'd like Roger Federer to win Wimbledon but Novak Djokovic will'

In an interview to Wimbledon Channel, the Australian legend Rod Laver made his Wimbledon predictions. Laver said: "I have not seen much Djokovic but Nadal and Federer played unbelievable tennis. I do not think Roger has played much better than this.

It was a real battle. In a way, I know that he does not want to get into long matches but he is putting himself in a great position now because of his mental structure. Emotionally I'd like to see Roger winning the title.

He is close to turning 38 and he could win again. He could face Rafa in the semifinals. I am picking Djokovic to win the title." On Nick Kyrgios, Laver said: "He is a special individual. He surely has the talent, one of the best serves in the game, volley.

He has a great talent. He should be among the three or four top people but you only need good guidance and that's what Nick is missing at this moment. But hopefully, he will put everything together at some point."
