Roger Federer: 'I know where I play until Wimbledon 2020. Then...'

In an interview to Swiss reporters as quoted by Tag Blatt Roger Federer spoke about his schedule for the next months. The Swiss did not want to reveal any detail yet. "Inside myself I decided what I want to play until Wimbledon.

Now I am busy about making a choice for Tokyo. I already discussed about it with my team and I asked how they see it. I also spoke with Mirka. I will definitely take a decision over the next weeks. For me it's just important to have a stretch of tournaments and enjoy a break, have enough time for my family.

I always ask myself how much I have to practice", said the Basel native. On playing exhibition matches in South America in November, Federer added: "Plans are not fulled yet. I already did it (in 2012). It was the favorite Tour ever for my father, I thought it was something giant for me too.

For the crowd it was unbelievable. I never experienced something like this. That's why I want to do it again. But I cannot do it every year - I have a family. I said I can do it only if I have a two-week break. So I discussed about it with my fitness coach Pierre Paganini.

I normally start the pre-season training on December 4 and this time it will be 11. It's everything agreed. I do not have to be 100 percent ready for the ATP Cup. My goal is the Australian Open, my plan is about it."
