The Team World member Nick Kyrgios has arrived to Geneva, Switzerland, after a long trip from Australia. The Canberra native feels excited to play the Laver Cup for the third time in a row. "I feel very excited. It was really fun the last two years, I have a lot of great memories.
Being in Geneva and Europe is amazing. I hope there will be unbelievable matches", said Kyrgios who will compete against Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal among the others. Alexander Zverev: "Everybody plays together and for each other.
We had a great time the previous two years and hopefully it will be special this year as well." Team Europe captain Bjorn Borg: "It's the most important week. I was here in February, I am looking forward to it as everybody is.
It's gonna be a great atmosphere." Federer is also an investor when it comes to Davis Cup: "When I look at my last holiday week, I thought about the draws, who should play on Friday, Saturday", the Basel native confessed.
"After all it's the third time Laver Cup takes place and I went through it already. In the beginning I was worried with questions like, How many people will attend the first match on Friday afternoon? Do people stay here for the whole day? But Prague and Chicago showed fans stay here as long as players give their best and teammates watch their matches.
I saw how quickly tickets were sold this year and I know the Palexpo Arena is good. I am sure it will be a nice weekend. "I am really looking forward to the home crowd and atmosphere. Also spending time with Bjorn Borg. That's a childhood dream that comes true. I never thought I would do all this in Geneva."
