Medvedev: 'I want to beat Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal and Novak Djokovic'

Daniil Medvedev spoke about his straight-set win over Alexander Zverev in the Shanghai Masters final. The Russian said: "Every single match is a different story. This year I increased my level. Now I want to beat Nadal. Also Djokovic, again.

I did not beat Federer. I will try to win every match against every opponent. Playing six finals including three in Masters 1000s is something I could never dream of. I have unbelievable emotions. I am emotional on court and people are seeing it."

On Federer, the Italian player Salvatore Caruso said: "I like Federer. I met him in 2013 when he was looking for a hitting partner before the American tournaments. I trained with him three days in Zurich. A fantastic person."

On the costs of tennis, Caruso added: "Coaches have different cost and their choice can be different, you cannot give a certain amount. Money is necessary especially for a player in order to invest in your life. Paolo Lorenzi is the clearest example of how you can breakthrough being not that young and make achievements going forward.

The most important thing is to achieve."

Kei Nishikori spoke about the top ten rankings positions: "I think it changed a lot. Now there are many different faces on the top 10 compared to the previous years. There were several injuries but the level is more balanced."
