2,670 additional seats have been added at the Cape Town Stadium for the exhibition match between Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer that will take place on Friday, 7 February 2020. A ticket ballot system will put the additional tickets at stake although the remaining tickets have already been sold.

7,000 Viewing Zone Tickets are also available on Computicket. The purchasers will watch the match on the big screen. Meanwhile, in an interview to Der Standard Dominic Thiem's agent, Herwig Straka spoke about the Austrian player possibly competing in the Davis Cup tie between Austrian and Uruguay.

"The chance he will play is less than 50 per cent. Dominic would play the Finals in Madrid but his appearance in Graz is unlikely. Still, Austria has an enormous chance to reach the Champions League of tennis," said Straka. The Austrian captain Stefan Koubek will be able to count on Dennis Novak, Lucas Miedler, Jurij Rodionov and Philipp Oswald.

The match will be played on hard the week prior to the BNP Paribas Open in Indian Wells. "We are a clay-court country, but all the players feel comfortable on hard." In another exhibition event, the Diriyah Tennis Cup in Saudi Arabia, Russia's Daniil Medvedev and Italy's Fabio Fognini played the final, on Saturday, 14th December.

The winner will take the $1 million prize pot of the inaugural event. Medvedev defeated David Goffin in their semi-final while Fognini eased past Gael Monfils in their semi-final clash.
