Australian-Mauritian Soprano Stacey Alleaume confessed that if she could choose two people to have next to her in any of her flights around the world, those persons would be tennis legend Roger Federer and Barack Obama’s wife, Michelle.

“If I had to sit in the middle seat the other passengers I'd want on either side of me would be Roger Federer, because I would love to meet the 20-time grand slam champion, who shows great passion and determination in his profession.

On the other side, [former First Lady] Michelle Obama, because she always displays such grace, she is incredibly smart and has strong values on empowering women”. said Alleaume for Traveller. Stacey has performed in many well-known productions among which we can count Carmen, The Pearl Fishers, The Eighth Wonder, La Traviata, Parsifal, The Merry Widow, The Magic Flute and The Barber of Seville.

The Australian singer can also be praised for playing main soprano roles in The Marriage of Figaro, Rigoletto and The Turk in Italy. Her next performance is scheduled to take place in La Traviata Handa Opera on Sydney Harbour from March 27 to April 26.

Given her career-choice, Stacey has to travel quite often and that’s why she already visited no less than 17 countries. “I love to travel because It's exciting to discover and explore new places. I enjoy immersing myself in different cultures, learning about their history, architecture, art and music and trying to practise my language skills”. said Alleaume. Hopefully, one day Stacey will get the chance to fly with Roger Federer and Michelle Williams.
