World No. 33 Borna Coric has praised the Big Four group members and the impacted they have had on tennis. Coric, 23, has defeated at least once in his career three Big Four members. The Croatian has beaten at least once Rafael Nadal, Roger Federer and Andy Murray.
The only Big Four member that has never lost to Coric is world No. 1 Djokovic. "All four are incredible players and have done so much for tennis. Novak and I have a similar style of play and he does everything a little better.
Maybe that's why I haven't been able to defeat him yet," Coric told Tennis MAGAZINE. Coric can boast about not having a losing record against either world No. 2 Nadal or former world No. 1 Murray. The head-to-head record between Coric and 19-time Grand Slam champion Nadal stands at 2-2.
The same goes for his head-to-head record against Murray as they split wins in their four meetings. But Coric hasn't played against either Nadal or Murray since 2017. Former world No. 12 Coric has also had some notable success against Federer.
In the six matches played against the Swiss, the Croatian claimed two wins. Coric's first win over Federer came in style as he beat the Swiss in the Halle final to win it all at the tournament in 2018. Federer, 38, is a record 10-time Halle champion but Coric came up big in the final to shock the Swiss.
That same year a couple of months later, Coric beat Federer in the Shanghai Masters semifinal before losing to Djokovic.
