“I’ve seen more people volleying over the past 4 days than the previous two years,” says Tumaini Carayol on Twitter. Well, that’s the Roger Federer effect. With his latest challenge, the Swiss Maestro got a great part of the tennis community - including fellow pros, journalists, fans, and even a doctor - to: a) find and wear a hat, b) race to a wall, c) volley like crazy… His video was viewed over times in just days.

(How would Maria Sharapova react to such a traction?) In the initial tweet with which he introduced his challenge, Federer invited his fans to take it on, promising feedback and comments in exchange. He kept his word on the same day he’d posted his challenge on, and has kept it ever since.

Here is a fresh batch of Federer’s reaction to his fans' videos of the 100 volley challenge.

Translation: "From Colombia.

I might not have a racket or a ball, but I do have a good actitude."
