Roger Federer may be in quarantine and recovering from knee surgery but the 20 time Grand Slam champion has surely not lost his sense of humour. That was evident when a fan responded to his latest volley challenge. The 38 year old Swiss legend came out with a new volley challenge for his fans who have been advised to stay home during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.
In the video, Federer is seen standing just inches from a wall and hitting rapid fire forehand volleys and tagged several athletes and superstars like Virat Kohli, Novak Djokovic, Rafael Nadal, Alexander Zverev, Coco Gauff, Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady, Bill Gates and Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson asking them to do the same challenge.
While Nadal has yet to respond to the challenge, one tennis fan took up the challenge while reading a book with a racquet in the other hand to make the challenge a little more difficult. However, what piqued the interest of Federer was the fact that the fan was wearing a t-shirt of Nadal.
Federer's response was short but classic - "Yes true but…. .the shirt???" The Swiss star has been responding to several of the fans who posted their versions of his challenge on social media. Federer had earlier also posted a video of himself hitting against a wall in the snow - encouraging people to stay at home.
Meanwhile, the Swiss legen has yet to respond to Andy Murray's 100volleychallenge - saying that his wife Mirka Federer was shy about appearing on social media.
