To promote the upcoming King Richard biopic movie, Serena and Venus Williams were joined by Will Smith, the lead actor of the film, for a cover page photo shoot organized by the Entertainment Weekly magazine. “Serena.

Venus. Will. Three icons team up for the Oscar-buzzy biopic King Richard,” reads on the already published cover page. Serena Williams shared a pic of the Entertainment Weekly cover page on her Instagram account to promote it.

“Entertainment Weekly cover with Venus Williams, Will Smith,” wrote Serena Williams.

Will Smith also shared an Instagram update regarding the photoshoot.

“First shoot with Venus Williams and Serena Williams for King Richard. Here we go!!” the actor captioned the post below.

About the King Richard movie, starring Will Smith

The trailer for the upcoming King Richard movie is already out as the film is set to launch in US theaters on November 19, 2021.

According to IMDB, the movie is “a look at how tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams became who they are after the coaching from their father Richard Williams”. The leading actor in the movie is Will Smith, while Serena and Venus Williams’s roles are played by Demi Singleton, respectively Saniyya Sidney.

The screenwriter is Zach Baylin, which is known for his work on the crime, drama, and mystery movie Side Effects. Reinaldo Marcus Green was chosen to direct the film. The director is known for "King Richard (2021), Monsters and Men (2018), and Top Boy (2011), according to IMDB.

The filming began in Los Angeles. The movie, which had been scheduled to be released on November 25, 2020, was postponed owing to the COVID-19 epidemic and will now be released in US theaters on November 19, 2021, as well as on HBO Max.
