Serena and Venus Williams' half-sister weighs in on Will Smith Oscars incident

Serena and Venus Williams' half-sister Sabrina condemned Will Smith's act during the Oscars and added the Hollywood star should be stripped of the Oscar. Smith, who won the Best Actor award for potraying Richard Williams in King Richard, got mad when comedian Chris Rock made the joke about his wife's condition.

Rock made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith's alopecia, and after initially laughing at Rock's gag, Smith got up and slapped Rock in the face. "Keep my wife's name out of your f------ mouth," Smith could have been heard saying to Rock after the slap.

"So Will Smith got angry, went overboard, and assaulted another person. Then you just can't apologize two minutes later, you lost your mind. Wow," Sabrina Williams said in an interview with The Sun. "I agree he should be stripped of the Oscar."

Sabrina Williams: I can relate but Smith's act wasn't right

"I have alopecia, I can relate to that because I have alopecia really bad," Sabrina Williams continued.

"But it's not the time or place. If somebody offends you, you let them know in a private setting - 'Hey, you offended my wife, I did laugh at the joke, but my wife was offended.' "But just to go on stage in the middle of an event and slap somebody, walk back down, and then yell from your seat.

That's just not appropriate. "If they don't take the thing from him, they should ban him from attending the event ever again, as that's just ridiculous. "I have no sympathy for him because that's just irresponsible behavior.

"He probably needs to seek counseling. I'm not saying he has mental health issues but maybe he can talk to somebody because that's not appropriate behavior." Meanwhile, Serena and Venus Williams were in attendance when the incident happened. “I just sat down,” Serena Williams said following witnessing the incident live in person.
