Chanda Rubin builds her 'perfect' player: Mentions Serena, Venus Williams...

Former doubles Grand Slam champion Chanda Rubin mentioned Serena and Venus Williams, as well as Justine Henin, Steffi Graf, Monica Seles, Lindsay Davenport, Martina Navratilova, Kim Clijsters and Chris Evert while building a perfect tennis player.

Rubin revealed her perfect player would have the forehand of Graf, the backhand of Davenport, the return of Seles and the slice of Henin. "We need the perfect player so I got the Steffi Graf forehand, it's pretty good, right? I have the backhand, I kind of want Justine Henin for the slice, but Lindsay Davenport.

I'm gonna make her mad by mentioning, but she had a clean backhand," Rubin said on Tennis Channel, as quoted on Sportskeeda.

Rubin: The serve of Serena Williams, the mental strength of Venus

When it comes to the opening shot, Rubin revealed her perfect player would have the serve of Serena Williams and the mental strength of Venus Williams.

"The return, Monica Seles, got to go with that. Mental toughness, baby, Chris Evert or Venus Williams. Venus is a tough competitor out there. Serena Williams, you have got to give her the serve, of course," Rubin added. Also, Rubin's perfect player would have the volley skills of Navratilova and the movement of Clijsters.

"The volleys are Martina Navratilova," she continued. "I mean, yeah, I gotta say that and movement Clijsters. I like that." Recently, legendary tennis coach Rick Macci opened on how long it took for him to realize how special of talents Serena and Williams were.

Macci was one of the first coaches that worked with the Williams sisters. "Then we started playing competitive points and the whole landscape changed," Macci said on Tennis Channel. "The footwork got better, everything changed once I said game on.

And it blew me away. I never saw two little girls try so hard. There was a rage. There was something inside in these kids."
