Nike has inaugurated the largest building in its Oregon headquarters, dedicated to Serena Williams, the American champion who has worn Nike since she has been playing tennis. Nike said building is inspired by the greatness of Serena.

Speaking of technical numbers, the new building has an area of almost 93,000 square meters and is Nike's largest investment in design and creativity. Inside you can see moments and memorabilia of Serena Williams: Nike defines the tripartite structure in reference to Serena and the name of the winged goddess from Greek mythology on which the company bases her name, with three concepts: phenomenon, warrior and muse.

Serena's daughter was also an inspiration for the building, and a 140-seat theater is named Olympia.

Serena Said: "here is something to be said about setting goals. When I was just a kid I visited the Nike campus and I saw that athletes get buildings!

After that visit, I knew I wanted two things; to be a Nike athlete and to have a building. I set my goals high. I knew I would have to be elite, and not only the best, but someone that changes the course of sport. And now, here we are - officially unveiling the Serena building at the Nike campus.

Blood sweat and many tears, many trophies - it is beyond an honor and giving me chill bumps. I am so grateful to Nike and the Nike team. Can you believe it? I have a BUILDING Y'ALL !!! This is CRAZY !!!"
