After giving birth, Osaka admitted that she is very excited about returning to tennis in the near future. “I’m excited to have the opportunity [to play] again. I’ve been playing tennis since I was three, and I think it’s one of those things where I needed to take a step back to appreciate it more.
I also just really want to see fans again. During COVID, the distance hit me really hard," Osaka told Vogue. Earlier this year, Osaka told a Japanese journalist her goal was to win several more Grand Slam titles before retiring.
Osaka started her career in a very impressive way as she just turned 23 when she lifted her fourth Grand Slam title at the 2021 Australian Open.
