Serena Williams' childhood coach Rick Macci believes a healthy Novak Djokovic "will be a heavy favorite in every Grand Slam" next year. Djokovic, who will be turning 37 in May, was a finalist in all four Grand Slams this year.

The Serb claimed the titles at the Australian Open, French Open, and US Open, while he only ended as runner-up at Wimbledon after falling just short in a five-setter to Carlos Alcaraz. After Djokovic became the first-ever male player in tennis history with 24 Grand Slams, Macci is tipping the Serb to achieve a lot more before retiring.

"@DjokerNole barring injury will be a heavy favorite in every Grand Slam. Not only because he is the best of the rest in the ATP nest but to clip Mr. Goat in the best of Five is where the Serbian Sniper knows how to survive," Macci wrote on X.

Djokovic's astonishing success and accomplishments have been well-documented. After winning a record-breaking seventh ATP Finals in Turin this month, Djokovic fired a stern warning to his competition, telling them he wants more success.

"Motivation, especially for the biggest tournaments in sport, is still present. It still inspires me to keep going. In the end of the day, people see you performing in the big tournaments, but they don't see all the weeks and months of dedicated day-to-day, week-to-week work, trying to build your form so that you can peak where you want to peak.

For me, obviously those are Grand Slams and World Tour Finals, and next year hopefully also Olympic Games. The mindset is the same. I'll keep going. I don't know whether I'm going to have as good of a year next year, but I'm going to keep this kind of, yeah, freshness of mind and in a way motivation to do that," Djokovic said in Turin. Djokovic's first big goal in 2024 will be defending his Australian Open title.
