Serena Williams' childhood coach Rick Macci says Carlos Alcaraz is "the fastest player" he has ever seen and added that it's not even a debate. Alcaraz, 20, has impressive speed that allows him to quickly get to the ball and also return some balls that seem to be almost impossible to reach.

Macci, who coached Serena and Venus Williams in their childhood, has seen enough and he is already ready to declare Alcaraz as the fastest player ever. "During a podcast was asked who is the Fastest player I Ever Saw. EASY ANSWER.

I am not really sure as I could not See them. @carlosalcaraz," Macci wrote on X.

Even before declaring Alcaraz the fastest player ever, Macci spoke highly about the Spaniard several times.

Last month, Macci explained why he believes Alcaraz is a combination of the Big Three and Andre Agassi. “Alcaraz, we’ve never seen anything like this. We’ve never seen it. He is a combination of, I tell everybody, [Roger] Federer, [Rafael] Nadal, Djokovic and [Andre] Agassi, all wrapped in one.

He has make-up speed like no other. Once he hits that other gear his turbo speed is amazing. He has a drop shot from outer space. He has missed more drop shots as a kid than anybody who has played tennis because he has tried more – and whoever coached him as a kid would not discourage that.

I think he is going to get such a bucket of Grand Slams, it’s unreal. I feel, in my opinion, he is by far, the leader in the clubhouse," Macci said on the Match Point Canada podcast in November. At 20, Alcaraz has already achieved great success - he is a two-time Grand Slam champion and has been ranked at No 1 a couple of times already. In 2024, Alcaraz will certainly be looking to add more success to his name.
